The controller for data processing on this site is the operator named in the Impressum. For any privacy request, contact the e-mail address listed there.
Hosting and server logs
askhosk.com is served via Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you access the site, technical connection data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) is processed to deliver the pages, keep the service secure and defend against abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating the site securely, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Cloudflare acts as our processor; data may be processed in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Search
Search queries are processed on our servers to return results. For semantic ranking, the query text is additionally processed by Cloudflare Workers AI and Vectorize as part of the same hosting infrastructure. We do not store search queries and do not build user profiles from them.
Embedded YouTube player
Video thumbnails are self-hosted; while browsing, no request is sent to YouTube or Google. A YouTube player is loaded only after you click a timestamp or play control. From that moment, YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) receives your IP address and player interactions. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Local storage
Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and contains no personal data.
What we do not do
No cookies, no user accounts, no newsletter, no advertising, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no sale or sharing of personal data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
